I've been writing since I was young. What started with a ghoulish "gory story" in Elementary School at the prompting of our teacher (I thought she would faint when I took my turn and read it aloud to the class) soon turned into writing pages and pages-which filled spiral notebooks. My friends loved it because the stories were about them. And I was addicted to writing. Just like that.
But space stories turned into spy stories, and by the time I was in high school became romances!
My parents gave me an old underwood typewriter and provided all the onionskin paper I could use. Remember that stuff?
A career of nursing and jumping from one hobby to another while raising children turned into a career of photography. And one day, I was cleaning house and ran into an old tub. Inside was a rolled up (and tied with a rubber band) wad of onionskin paper I'd written when I was about 18.
I sat there in the floor, reading through it and thought, "Hmm. What would happen if I re-wrote this and sent it off to someone?
The rest is history.
I can't tell you how much enjoyment I get out of writing historical fiction with romance weaving through it. And the dynamics of alpha males and stubborn females never gets old for me.
My children have grown up now and left the nest. My son and daughter are so supportive of me for writing (even though daughter hides her eyes and says, "MOM! Why don't you write something I can read without blushing?"
And my husband is my biggest fan. (don't tell him, but he's the Hero in almost all my books!!)
I hope you do enjoy reading these. Although they are a bit spicy, and the dynamic of their relationships show strong stern men and saucy stubborn ladies who sometimes make the wrong decisions and need correction.
If this isn't to your liking, please skip to a book that may be more tame.
I do however promise you a Happy Ending!

Wow, just wow! What an amazing, intense, romantic suspense page-turner Double Take is. Ms. Pippa Greathouse delivered a wonderful mystery with a great cast of characters, some edge-of-your-seat scenes along with plenty of action and adventure.
I've enjoyed this author's historical romances and was excited to read this modern romance by her. I'm happy to say that I absolutely loved it and could not put it down. I read very late into the night, eager to solve the mysteries and see if Sam and Adam have a chance at happiness. I highly recommend this engaging and thrilling story! "Double-Takes"
Talk about suspense! This book is an emotional rollercoaster that will have you on the edge of your seats.
I found myself staying up late and sneaking onto my Kindle
app at work to finish the story. My only complaint is that the series isn’t complete yet!!! I’m so looking forward to the next installment from two of my favorite authors. ~Stella
"thoroughly enjoyed this new story by Pippa and Ruby - they are a great team when it comes to writing historical fiction!"
"The character development in this story is so well defined and refined that you come away feeling that you really know these people and can truly relate to their situations and decisions.
"Time For Change"
This book was amazing!! Loved it so much!! One of the best books I have ever read!!!
This book has wit, charm, heat and a nice amount of cheekiness-(see what I did
there?) Treat yourself this holiday season, and pick this one up. I cannot wait to get my hot little hands on more by this author.
I am putting Pippa Greathouse as an author I will look for and since this is book one I can hardly wait for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and found it to be one of the best books I have read all yr. I enjoyed it immensely .
If you like historical romances, sweetly flavoured, along with some well-paced military action you’ll enjoy this book. If dominant men who dole out a good spanking whenever their feisty women one appeal to you, you’ll love Miriam’s Rebirth .
I really enjoyed this latest installment in the Strasburg series. There was more to the plot than just the romance and conceived "danger" to the lady. I loved how the women who were left behind because of war came together and supported one another and their town.
Miss Greathouse always seems to be able to draw me into the story and Catching Carrie was no exception. The characters were very engaging and the storyline well developed. I enjoyed reading this sweet and mildly spicy story.
