Libby Campbell has done it again!

In the beautiful Pacific Northwest, three feisty women are living happy lives of financial independence and social autonomy.

None of them are aware of the storms gathering on the edges of their orderly worlds, about to challenge everything they thought they wanted from life.

The winds of change arrive in the shape of three sexy alpha men.

These men shun political correctness as they seek to challenge, conquer, protect, and possess the strong gorgeous women who intimidate mere mortals.

Seeing Ronnie

Aloof and beautiful, society blogger Ronnie Flynn only agrees to go out with Del Franklin because he has an invitation to the biggest social event of the year. But it means spending a weekend with him on gorgeous Seguro Island. Before that weekend is over, Ronnie is in deeper than she ever imagined possible. Enthralled by her beauty and intelligence but less impressed with her snark, Del decides the only thing she needs to make her a good partner is a lesson in manners. That’s a lesson he’s happy to deliver, as often as she needs it.

Holding Cynthia

Cynthia is about to move to the West Coast to be closer her daughter. As her plane touches down in her new city, she steels herself for the new life ahead. When she finds Antony, someone she thinks of as a dear friend, waiting at the arrivals gate, a wave of gratitude and desire floods through her.

She is tired and aching beyond all memory, so Antony takes charge. Very quickly, he realizes there is something wrong, very wrong, with Cynthia’s health. He insists that she see a doctor.

She says he is overprotective. He agrees. He is also determined to look after her if she won’t look after herself. A trip over his knee shakes Cynthia to the core. In spite of herself she likes – she wants – this loving correction.

Is Antony too much, too soon, or is he just what the doctor ordered?

Trusting Ingrid

Ingrid Nickel doesn’t want to go into rehab. Again. She tried it once but it didn’t work.

When she meets Lachlan Morrison, the connection is electric. She sees a handsome man, directing and challenging, who won’t be intimidated by a powerful woman like her. He sees a woman whose bluster and sarcasm is a cover for something deep inside her that is badly broken.

The daughter of a grifter, Ingrid has grown up street-wise and lawless. Lachlan has rescued more than one creature whose bark was worse than its bite.

Will his stern, loving magic work on Ingrid?

Sneak Peeks at the books in the series...

Seeing Ronnie:

[Del catches Ronnie snooping at the house where they are attending the engagement party]

“Let’s put it this way, you can take a spanking and we’ll draw a line under this incident.” Del stepped closer to her. “Or I can march you downstairs, past all the guests, and we’ll show Simon how I just found you and what you had in your hand.”

Ronnie pictured all the gathered dignitaries: people of wealth and influence from all walks of life. Politicians, business people, artists, dancers, writers, musicians, all milling around downstairs. Everyone who was anyone for a hundred miles was at this party.

Her face burned at the thought of the public humiliation. She’d be ridiculed for months to come.

“Okay I’ll take the stupid spanking—on one condition.”

“Which is?”

“You can’t tell a soul.” Her voice came out wheedling, but his expression didn’t change. In the midst of her anger and bluster, another sensation simmered, a strange, tangled response to his threat, to the way he stood in front of her, his face stony and resolute.

Moistness dampened her panties and her nipples tightened.

Del seated himself at the end of the bed. “That’s fair enough. For now. If you behave for the rest of the day, you have my word that this will stay between the two of us. Now take off your hat, lift your skirt, and lie across my knees. You may leave your panties on. This time.”

“This time?” she snorted. “Like you really think this is ever going to happen again?” Ronnie’s face was so hot she was sure it would combust.

“The longer it takes you to present yourself, the worse this is going to be.” Del’s voice dropped to an ominous level.

She glanced around the room to make sure no one could see or hear what was about to take place. Without asking Del, she darted over to the French doors leading to the upstairs balcony and closed them, shutting out the murmur of laughter and conversation drifting up from the lawn below. She hoped fervently that she had also cut off any noise from the bedroom travelling the other way.

When she got back to where Del sat, her mouth dry and palms sweating, she fumbled her hat off and placed it on the chair by the fireplace. Her long red hair fell across her face, partly shielding the embarrassed blush coloring her cheeks.

“I’ve never been spanked before,” she said in a mouse-like voice and hated herself for her timidity. She stood before him, staring at her feet.

“Then you’re overdue, aren’t you?” Del took her hands in his. He brought one then the other to his lips before looking up at her and speaking again. “This will hurt but it won’t be anything you can’t bear. If it really gets to be too much, simply say safeword and I will stop. Then we will have to find another way for you to pay for your misbehavior. I think you’ll find that a spanking is the fastest and easiest way to atone. Do you agree?”

Ronnie nodded, biting her lip.

Holding Cynthia

[Antony is about to give Cynthia a massage after her bath. He knows she is unwell and wants her to take better care of herself.]

“Not yet,” he said. “Lie down on your stomach. I told you I’m a bit of a masseuse.” He threw back the covers. “You’re about to get the full Antony Jacobson treatment.”

She didn’t argue even though her sulky face said she wasn’t happy about being nude. Too bad, he liked her that way. She had a beautiful body. Not perfect like a younger woman’s, but one that satisfied the Japanese definition of beauty called wabi-sabi, an appreciation of life’s imperfections and impermanence. Cynthia was one of the most beautiful women he’d ever seen.

Pouring oil onto his palm, he rubbed his hands together to heat it. He started at the base of her spine, gently moving up toward her shoulders. “I’m just doing a bit of effleurage to warm and ease your muscles. I’m not going to do anything too dramatic today. I’m not skillful enough to give you what you really need. That’s okay because you’ll get more appointments with Tiffany [the massage therapist] and give me the dates and times so I can make sure I get you there.”

Cynthia’s face was turned sideways on the pillow. Her garbled reply was something like, “I don’t know if I have time for more appointments.”

He stopped massaging and with an oily hand smacked her right butt cheek. Hard.

“If you don’t have time for Tiffany, you’re going to collect a whole more of those from me, understood?”

Silence.

Slap.

“I said, understood?”

“Yes! I understand. You’re ruining a perfectly good massage.”

“No, you are by not answering me appropriately. Remember rule number one: look after yourself?” His hands trailed from her shoulders down to her waist. She said nothing. Antony stopped massaging

Cynthia said quickly, “Yes, I remember.”

“After watching you today, I’ve decided rule number one is look after yourself and engage in a program of aggressive self-care.”

“Aggressive self-care?” she said it like a question.

“By that I mean you should carve out at least one to two hours a day when you do nothing but look after yourself. That might be napping or going for a walk. It might just be reading a book. Find the things that you want to do, that keep you centered. Be sure to include exercise, massages when you need them and preparing proper meals, to make sure you’re getting a decent diet. Tu me comprends?”

She smiled at his use of the familiar noun-verb combination.

“Yes, I understand. I understand that your accent isn’t improving.”

Antony smiled too, before smacking each buttock cheek half a dozen times. She tried to put her hands back to stop him but he was too fast.

“This is just the beginning of some changes in your life that you may not like. But you will adapt to them or risk a lot more time over my knee. Laugh all you like but my rules are only going to get firmer.” He started massaging the tops of her thighs. “You up to the challenge?”

“Ha. I know I am, but what about you?” she teased.

“There’s nothing I’d rather do with my time.”

Trusting Ingrid

“So you can trust me, we should have a safe word,” Lachlan said.

“Safe word?” Ingrid’s voice was almost inaudible.

“Yes, a word you can say to tell me that you’ve had enough. When you simply cannot stand another second of what I’m doing to you.”

“So I can stop the spanking whenever I want?”

“That’s not the intention, but of course you could. Just as you could stop the intimacy between us whenever you want. One won’t necessarily lead to the other, but any overuse of the safe word would undermine what the spankings are all about. If you use the safe word more than once, that would very likely end our relationship.” He hugged her a little tighter. “The safe word is only meant to be used in extreme circumstances. It’s an escape hatch. You wouldn’t use it any more than you’d call 911 because you couldn’t get a taxi on a wet day. The word will be there to help you, not carry you past some minor level of discomfort. I have years of spanking experience. Believe me, I have a fair idea of how much you’ll be able to bear.”

Ingrid digested what he was saying, wishing to hell that he’d just get on with it and stop making her think so much. She was thrumming from the mere idea of being over his knee. Didn’t he warn her that cock teasing would get her spanked? How was it fair that he could make her so horny and do nothing about it without consequences?

“What do you want to use as your safe word?”

“I have to choose one?” This was too damned hard already. She had to consent to the spanking. On top of that, she had to choose her own freaking safe word? Then she had to not use it in case that convinced him that she was trying to stop more than the spanking?

She wasn’t prepared for any of this, no more than she was prepared for the way he seemed to be taking over her life. “I don’t know. I can’t think of one just like that, like pulling ideas out of the

air.”

Lachlan chuckled. “You’re pretty defenseless already, aren’t you? Okay I’ll choose one for you. How about rescue.

“Yes, that’s just fine. Thank you very much.”

Lachlan unwrapped his arms from around her, and taking her wrist, spun her to face him.

After what they’d just talked about, she couldn’t look him in the eye.

“You’re all shy now are you, lass?” For a second his voice took on the strong Scottish accent that frequently crept into Glyn’s speech.

Ingrid’s body vibrated in response. Let’s get the spanking over with, she thought. I can’t wait for the main feature.

Lachlan reached for her cardigan, pushing it off her shoulder. “It’s time for you to strip so we can start today’s session.”

“Strip?” She tried to wriggle away, but Lachlan caught her wrist in a tight grip. “Yes, strip. For one thing I want to feast my eyes on your gorgeous body. For another, being naked is a deeper form of submission. Laying yourself bare is an important ritual that says you accept what is coming.” Ingrid bristled, successfully wrenching away from him this time.

“All my clothes?”

She liked the word relationship. She wasn’t so fond of the word strip.

Lachlan stepped past her, closer to the fire. “Okay. It’s your first time. I think naked from the waist down will be enough. Then you will come over here.”

He pushed an ottoman in front of the hearth. “You will kneel in front of this, your bottom facing the fire, your upper body pressed into the top of it. Now you know the reason for the raised hearth; it delivers heat to upraised buttocks without scorching the lower legs or feet.”

“It was designed with that thought in mind?”

“Absolutely. Glyn and I discussed it at length.”

The image of Glyn and Lachlan analyzing the correct height to set a hearth, so a fire could pre-heat a woman’s bottom for a spanking, left Ingrid speechless. A faint mewing sound escaped her.

Lachlan smiled slightly. “Are you ready?”

Ingrid nodded, afraid to attempt words.

“Sit down, I’ll help you take off your boots.” His voice sounded kind, like a gentleman casually offering to help a lady remove her coat.

Ingrid slumped as Lachlan knelt at her feet. He unzipped the boots, loosened her boot stays, and with more tenderness than she’d have guessed possible, slid first one boot off and then the other. He laid them on the ground beside her.

Time slowed to a crawl for Ingrid. Shocked by how direct he was, how clearly his plans were laid out, she sat dumbfounded for a minute. Start with the easy things, she told herself and began to peel off a sock.

“Leave your socks on,” Lachlan said.

She looked at him quizzically.

“You don’t know? I’ll explain later.” Lachlan stood, moving away from her again. “Take off your jeans and panties. Now. Then assume the position. Don’t make me ask you twice.”

Meet Libby Campbell

Question - Time with Libby Campbell

Q: All the women in your books seem to be pretty well set up with careers and jobs when they meet their matches. Is this a coincidence?

When there is a real inequity between partners, especially where he is richer, taller, older, bigger etc, then a man has the dominant advantage to start off with. I want my alphas to have more of a challenge, so I level the playing field.

My female protagonists have their achievements so they’re not as easily impressed as they might otherwise be. If their lives have a solid foundation, then their men have more of a challenge.

Q Do you think a woman would fall in love with a man or submit to him just because he’s rich?

Probably not, but this quote from the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes shaped my thinking on this subject (did I mention I love old movies?):

Lorelei Lee (Marilyn Monroe): Don't you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty? You wouldn't marry a girl just because she's pretty, but my goodness, doesn't it help?

I haven’t researched any of this but here my personal interpretation of TTWD:

Women are wired to look for protectors largely because of our biology. We are designed to bear children who are dependent for years. In primitive times, before childcare, telecommuting, and maternity leave, we needed someone to provide for us during that period, we needed a caveman to haul home the hunter’s bounty and fight off enemies. Modern women may need help with mortgage payments and grocery bills ~ which is why wealth was, is, and always will be a drawcard.

Still, Western women are lucky. We can gain skills that allow us to make choices beyond simple survival. Enter my leading ladies who have the material side of their lives sorted, more or less.

They are strong and used to fending for themselves. But they need and crave something more. Something only a true alpha who is in touch with his primal hunter/fighter instinct may understand. Something dominant and thrilling that lifts them up from the ordinary.

The trick in these writing these roles is to capture the man’s power without it slipping into abuse and to show the woman’s submission without it being mindless capitulation.

Q Where do you get your ideas? How do they develop?

From the air I breathe? I don’t know really. I never seem to run out of them. But every writer knows that having an idea is a long way off from capturing the vision in a book, novella, or even a short story. I’ve written all three of those formats and I find short stories to be the most challenging.

Then I usually sketch a plot arc of how I think the story is going to go. I agree with Terry Pratchett who said the first draft is just the writer telling themselves the story. It’s usually at the end of the draft that I realize what the story was about. That’s when I go back and fill out the missing bits while removing the detours that were simple me exploring blind alleys.

Do you listen to music when you write?

On the rare occasion I do, it’s instrumental music only. Otherwise the lyrics distract me. Most of my music collection is lyrics-based (no surprise) so the general answer is no, I don’t.

But some songs certainly inspire me and I listen to them when I’m not actually writing but doing something else and thinking about writing. For instance, while I was writing Holding Cynthia, I listened to the Jennifer Warnes version of Ain’t No Cure For Love. Often. In fact that was the working title for that book, for reasons that are obvious once you’ve read the book.

How do you research your books?

Which part of them? You mean TTWD? To start with, I have a high-speed internet connection that lets me explore the world and other people’s wonderful sites without leaving the house. I’m also super curious about everything in life but this in particular.

Sometimes, if I can’t quite figure out how something might work or feel, then research becomes hands-on, so to speak. The Leading Man is always happy to assist with research in this area.

His Land, His Law

Cara wants to save the forest. Luke wants to log it. He wins the first battle. Who will win the war?

Since she inherited her parents’ home, Cara Eckford has used walks in the nearby woods as inspiration for her art, so she is shocked and upset upon finding that ‘No Trespassing’ signs have recently been put up on the property. But when she angrily confronts the land’s new owner, the infuriatingly sexy Luke McCrae, she merely earns herself a stern scolding and a sound spanking.
Despite her irritation, Luke’s bold dominance leaves Cara’s heart racing and her panties soaked. He soon proves more than ready to tame her fiery temper with his belt applied to her bare bottom, but even with tears in her eyes and her backside on fire Cara’s need for Luke cannot be denied, and when he takes her in his arms his masterful lovemaking satisfies her deeply.
Cara’s newfound romance with Luke grows stronger and more passionate with each passing day, but when conflict over his plans for her beloved forest threatens to tear them apart, can she make use of her powerful connection to both of their ancestors to convince him to change his mind?

Publisher’s Note: His Land, His Law includes sexual scenes and spankings. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

A sneak peek at "His Land, His Law"

Everything that was good and right in Cara’s world was because of the serenity on this small corner of Salt Spring Island. Land that should have been hers, lost through a tragedy one hundred years ago, was slipping through her family hands again.

“Don’t talk to me like that, please.” Luke’s voice low and authoritative.

“I’ll talk to you any way I fucking well please.”

He was six inches taller than her and at least forty pounds heavier. Cara didn’t care. She was angry at the No Trespassing signs. She was angry at the news that he wouldn’t sell to her. When he had the nerve to tell her not to swear, her temper detonated. Sparks of silvery hot rage popped in her peripheral vision.

She looked over his shoulder and gasped, as though something was behind him. When he turned to see what it was, she braced herself in horse stance, clenched her hand into a fist, and drove a hard punch into his gut. It was like pounding concrete.

“Ah, you’re a scrapper, are you?” He recoiled sharply before closing the gap between them and wrapping an arm around her waist. The cedar and smoke scent of him filled her head as he planted one foot on a large boulder and deftly flipped her over his knee. “You need to learn some manners,” he said, lifting the hem of her skirt.

Cool air breezed across the top of Cara’s thighs as the blood rushed to her head. Her long hair hung down, coiling in the dried arbutus leaves beneath her.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” she shrieked with outrage, kicking her legs and flailing her arms. He pinned her to his left knee, trapping her kicking legs under his muscular right thigh.

“Don’t you dare touch me!” she said, trying to right herself.

“You mean like this?” He smacked her panty-clad bottom hard. “Or this?” His hand fell on the top of her thighs. His hands felt as big as dinner plates and hard as wood. One smack followed another. When she reached back and swatted against the blows, he caught her wrists together and pinned them in the small of her back.

Cara’s breath whooshed out of her lungs at the sensation of being bent to his will. She forced herself to start breathing again as he smacked her bottom rhythmically and unrelentingly.

“Stop it!” she demanded, between swats. Luke ignored her. She barely caught her breath after one slap, when another followed. Conflicting sensations of desire and resentment churned as her bottom started to sting.

She was strong, but he was much stronger. She twisted and writhed but never enough to break away. After what felt like an eternity of spanking, the only thing registering on her consciousness was his hard hand raining down on her buttocks and thighs. Time, as she knew it, stopped.

Author Q&A, please use no more than 3 or 4 of the following questions:

Where did this story come from?

I spend a lot of time on Salt Spring Island, hiking the forests, enjoying its beaches. Many of the forests were logged about a hundred years ago. Walking past the moss-covered stumps, some of which are six feet tall, feels like walking with ghosts.

Naturally some people would like to log these forests again. While I’m sure there are some places where fewer trees wouldn’t be a disaster, it would be sad to see many of the magnificent trees removed.

Cara is quite a firecracker. Is she based on anyone you know?

Nope. She came to me fully formed. I felt like were old friends from the day she pushed into my life and said, ‘write my story.’
Salt Spring Island has a huge artistic community: artists, writers, musicians and dancers. Cara would fit right in.

Some of the characters are from the far past. Where did those characters pop up?

I don’t know why but when the book was forming in my mind in the late spring, I kept seeing images of WWI soldiers. Even though the Owen and McCrae families were farmers and might have had an exemption for their sons, I knew that Frank McCrae would want to enlist and do his duty.

WWI tragically shatters the love between Amaruq Owen and Frank McCrae. It’s the legacy of their unfulfilled passion that brings Cara and Luke together.

The families are named for two WWI poets, Wilfred Owen (Dulce et Decorum Est) and John McCrae (In Flanders Fields) who shaped my thinking about war at an early age.

How was this writing book different from your others?

I had to learn a lot about the skills of the Tsawout First Nation, like cedar stripping and Maquinna hat weaving, amongst other things. I studied styles of the late 1900’s and 1920’s. When I came across the detail that in some jurisdictions it was illegal for a woman ‘to wear the attire of the opposite gender’ I had to use it.

What does success mean to you? What is the definition of success?

Success first of all is finishing a book that both my husband (my primary reader) and I enjoy. The second level of success is having it accepted by a publisher.

But the greatest success of all to me is someone saying they enjoyed one of my books. It makes all those solitary hours worthwhile.

What advice would you give a new writer?

Be brave and be ready to make mistakes. Learn to laugh at the many wrong steps you’ll take. I consider my first two years in this genre as an apprenticeship.

Try to improve with each piece you write. Read books on craft. Go to workshops or find online resources to help you hone your skills.

To be a writer you have to be thick-skinned, because there will always be someone who pans your work. At the same time, you have to be sensitive to pick up the nuances of human behaviour.

Finally, you’ll need a good internet connection and a few basic social media skills.

When you’re writing an emotionally draining (or sexy, or sad, etc) scene, how do you get in the mood?

Getting in the mood is a luxury. I just sit down and tackle it.

If the spirit isn’t with me, I move the characters through the motions, like I’m staging a play.

Sometimes I write the most prosaic, uninteresting fiction but it’s all part of the process. Often I have to do that sort of ditch digging before I uncover the small nugget gold that I’m looking for.

If you were on a desert island or trapped in a cabin in winter, which of your heroes would you want to have with you?

I love all my heroes but I suspect I’d go with Lachlan (from Trusting Ingrid). He has a range of skills, farming, navigation, weather predicting, that would keep us comfortable.

Do you have a playlist for this book?

No, but there is one song that I listened to over and over as I wrote it. It’s Leonard Cohen’s Dance Me To The End Of Love. There is no end to love in the case and that’s the message I hear in this song.

This is my favourite version of that song. Watch a beautiful tango interpretation of it here: https://www.facebook.com/bellemuzique/videos/1714025295350377/

Will his stern, loving magic work on Ingrid?

Publishers note: Although loosely part of a series, this spicy romance can be read as a stand alone story. It includes scenes of domestic discipline and power exchanges.

Exerpt from Trusting Ingrid

Ingrid balked. “I think I’ve been pretty productive the past few years. I’ve been the top salesperson in the province. Do you have any idea how much real estate I’ve sold?”

“No and I don’t particularly care either. I’m talking about you learning to develop a moral code, to be the type of person that Glyn and Rachel can invite into their house without having to count the silver before you leave.”

A guilty blush crept over Ingrid at that suggestion. She had already decided not to slip one of their antique silver spoons into her suitcase, but how had Lachlan known she’d even thought about it?

“I’m speaking metaphorically,” he said. “What I mean is that I’d like to be with the sort of woman I can take anywhere and not have to watch what she does when she thinks no one is looking.”

“I don’t know if I can be that woman.”

“I’m sure you can or I wouldn’t be here now. I’ve known someone like you in my past. She was much younger when we got together so she had fewer, less ingrained bad habits to correct. I was also younger and a lot less experienced then. I think I can straighten you out much faster, now.”

“Straighten me out?” Ingrid pursed her lips for a second. “What does that look, taste, and feel like?”

“It looks like you, bare-bottomed, stretched over my knee. It tastes like you eating humble pie when you go back to that cinema tomorrow and apologize for spoiling one of their seats and offer to pay for the cost of cleaning. It feels like my hand falling hard and fast on your upturned derrière.”

Ingrid’s throat turned desert dry, as feelings pinballed through her. She’d have to try to be honest, something she’d never done before. Sure, she was trying to move her life in that direction anyway but now Lachlan would be watching her. He would spank her if she failed. He might give up on her entirely if she wasn’t willing to try.

“So you want to punish me like I’m a recalcitrant child?” she asked.

“To put it plainly yes, if you agree. From where I’m sitting, from everything I know about you, your life was a train wreck last year. Until you’ve got a much stronger moral compass, you obviously need help.” He patted her two clasped hands with his one free one before letting them go.

She sat back, savoring the lingering strength of his touch. Heat rose from her clenching pussy. This was it, the dangerous, exciting aspect of love that she’d been so curious about. It was too late to discuss it with Rachel, to get an overview. She could either jump in and learn firsthand or she could turn her back on the most terrifying, alluring offer anyone had ever made her .

 Where did Ingrid come from?

Those who have read the Simon in Charge series may remember her as the realtor who sold Simon and Sadie their Vancouver mansion. When she waltzed into that book, sassy and confronting, I had to know more about her. The only way to do that was to write her story.

Was there a particular reason to choose the subject of addiction?

It seemed clear to me from Ingrid’s behaviour in Sadie Says I Do, that she had some deep problems, definitely some that involved alcohol. Plus so many families these days have been touched by the destructive force of substance abuse, I wanted to tell at least one such story with a happy ending.

"Holding Cynthia"

Book Two in the "Romancing the Coast" series

Antony Jacobson first held Cynthia Donohue in his arms at a wintry  December wedding. Four months later, the statuesque, enchanting woman  continues to haunt his thoughts.

Cynthia is about to move to the  West Coast to be closer her daughter. Arriving in her new city, she  steels herself to cope on her own. When she finds Antony waiting at the  arrivals gate, a wave of gratitude and desire floods through her.

A  lifetime of independence hasn’t prepared Cynthia for a submissive role  in a relationship. For all that she craves love, romance, and someone to  share sunsets, deep down she believes her dreams are childish, the  hopes of a much younger woman. That’s fine: indomitable, handsome Antony  is prepared to wait.

She is tired and aching beyond all memory  so Antony takes charge. Very quickly, he realizes there is something  wrong, very wrong, with Cynthia’s health. He insists that she see a  doctor. She says he is overprotective. He agrees he is. He is also  determined to look after her if she won’t look after herself. After a  trip over his knee, Cynthia is shaken to the core by her desire for him  to do it again. More importantly, she agrees that he may be right about  seeing a doctor.

Is Antony too much, too soon, or is he just what the doctor ordered?

"Seeing Ronnie"

Book One: "Romancing The Coast"

As a social blogger, Ronnie Flynn—aloof, beautiful, cool as a  cucumber—is desperate to get to the society event of the year: Simon and  Sadie’s engagement party on Seguro Island. It’s no surprise that her  name isn’t on the guest list, but as always, Ronnie has a backup plan. A  plan that involves the handsome Del Franklin.

Del agrees to a  swap: Ronnie gives him the scoop on his estranged wife’s dirty secrets  and he takes her as his date to his boss’s party. The handsome, buff man  of Italian descent has only one condition; Ronnie had better be good.  No snooping. No manipulating. No digging for dirt. Or else.

With  crossed fingers, and in spite of Del’s threat of putting her over his  knee for disobeying, Ronnie ‘promises’ to be a good girl. Right. She’s  not worried about Del. Her code of keeping a healthy distance will  protect her heart, and her backside. She’s too wily to get caught,  anyway.

Ronnie sees. Literally. She can channel people’s  feelings and see into their hearts. All her life, she has been hiding  this secret weapon—her psychic ability—because what she sees is often  too hard to understand and impossible to share. If she can handle that  secret, surely she can handle Del. Or can she? He’s not like anyone  else. Nothing has prepared her for him. She shouldn’t react like this to  his dominance. She’s an independent, wealthy woman in her own right. No  man will tell her what to do. Yet, there is something about this sexy  dominant Latin lover that makes her pulse race.

Will Ronnie allow  Del to break her code of keeping a healthy distance? Will seeing Ronnie  open Del’s eyes to a new world? Will the two of them ever see life the  same way?

Publisher’s Note: Seeing Ronnie contains elements of domestic discipline and sexual themes.

Simon Jacobson: gorgeous, sexy, smart, uber-rich and utterly smitten with Sadie Donohue.

Sadie  is from the wrong side of the tracks; working class neighborhood,  public schools, sausages on the backyard bar-b-que. Now Sadie is regularly over Simon's knee for being  her sassy, strong-willed self. And she loves it!

Getting their hands on  the title proves a bit more… complicated. An ex-girlfriend. An unpaid  tax lien. A winter storm. Now Simon's the one who seems to have cold  feet. Suddenly his old life of international travel, nomadic and  carefree, is calling again.

For her part, Sadie wants to carve  out a life, a daily routine that includes resuming volunteer work at the  homeless shelter. She promises to be careful while frequenting such a  rough neighborhood, but Sadie being Sadie—well, she can be a bit  headstrong. Her misadventures put her in danger of being over Simon's  knee even more than usual, especially when outside perils lead to an  almost tragic loss.

Simon says that it's time for Sadie to  submit and obey. Sadie says she's ready and willing, but they both  wonder: will she ever really be able?
